Free Lightroom Film Emulation Presets From VSCO Film 00

With the announcement of Adobe Lightroom 6 yesterday, VSCO Film announced a free starter pack called VSCO FILM® 00, a collection of film emulation presets that processes your RAW photos (JPEGs too, but with a few more steps included) into classic film types, including Kodak Gold 100 and Kodak Tri-X.

The presets work remarkably well and change your RAW images into unique, filmic looking photographs that truly look like the original film emulsions. While these film emulsion presets from VSCO Film usually run for $119, the free starter pack gives you an idea of what can be done when processing your films, especially if you crave the classic look of Tri-X or Gold 100.

I downloaded Lightroom 6 yesterday and tried out some of the presets, and was amazed at how much they looked like the actual film types. What is also really cool, you can download profiles to match your digital camera: Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Leica, and Fuji.
